For the last 88 years, the Greater Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross has faithfully kept a tradition of trust with the communities we serve. Throughout Mecklenburg and Iredell Counties, trained and compassionate Red Cross volunteers stand ready to help you, your family, and your neighbors prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.  The Red Cross is there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to rebuild their lives. 

As a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, we are committed to being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.  The Red Cross is consistently recognized by national services and publications such as Charity Navigator, Kiplinger’s and Money as being one of the top charities for fiscal efficiency.  Additionally, the value of a donation to Red Cross is magnified by the fact that volunteers deliver the bulk of our services, therefore, much of the donated dollar goes directly to those we serve.

As the population in the communities we serve spiral upward so does the demand for Red Cross services.  We touched the lives of thousands of people in Mecklenburg and Iredell with our vital programs and services last year.  However, your American Red Cross receives no government funding.  Your generous support makes our work of touching lives possible.
