Securities and Stock Donations

Donating stock is a great way to help support the American Red Cross…and it’s easy, too!

If you would like to donate to the chapter with a stock gift, please follow these steps:

• Contact your broker to transfer the stock to Morgan Keegan and Company in Charlotte, NC. Morgan Keegan is the firm that handles the chapter’s security transactions with stock donations.
• Let the broker know the Red Cross Account No. is 58041757. Morgan Keegan’s number is 704.442.4702.
• Have the broker contact Morgan Keegan and ask for the McIntire Group at Morgan Keegan, then let Morgan Keegan know the broker intends to send a stock transfer.
• Give your broker the “DTC Number” – 0780. (This is the electronic wiring code).

That’s all there is! The Red Cross will send you an acknowledgement letter as long as you do not remain anonymous when you give the stock to Morgan Keegan. Thank you for helping the Greater Carolinas Chapter continue to serve our community.
