Marrow Donation

Thank you for your interest in marrow donation. The American Red Cross works closely with the National Marrow Donor Program to help educate the public about marrow donation and the need for potential donors to join the National Marrow Donor Program Registry. Due to the shortage of matches for minority patients, there is a greater need for more volunteer donors from the African American, Asian/Pacific Islands, Hispanic, and American/Alaskan Native communities.

As a first step, we ask that you visit the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) website www.marrow.org for information to assist in your decision process. The NMDP website provides a wealth of information that can assist patients, families, and potential donors.
