Red Cross springs into action after ammonia leak

Yesterday, an ammonia leak at the Pilgrim’s Pride plant in Marshville (Union County) spurred the evacuation of workers and residents.

Volunteers from the American Red Cross set up a temporary evacuation site at the fire department in Marshville. The Red Cross also provided lunch for approximately 100 first responders and dinner for 50 responders.
