- Blood Services Donor Assistant: -Welcome donor, observe donor for adverse reactions and serve refreshments to donor following their blood donation.
- Office Volunteer: -Assist with general office duties including: filing, large mailings, scheduling and data entry.
- Volunteer Instructor: -Teach the community the skills necessary to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergency situations. Volunteers are trained to instruct First Aid/CPR courses, Babysitting , Water Safety for Children, Disaster Education and Basic Aid Training.
- Youth Corps Advisor: -Assist the Youth Corps by organizing youth activities and serving as a chaperone at various off-site activities.
- Youth Corps Member: -High School Age volunteers meet once a month to learn about the Red Cross as well as participate in various community projects.
- Disaster Services Volunteer: -Provide emergency assistance during local disasters; such as single family fires and weather related disasters. Positions are also available for currently N.C. licensed mental health professionals and currently N.C. licensed R.N. or L.P.N.
- Red Cross Ambassador: -Assist Red Cross in delivering our mission by presenting our story to community groups.
- Special Events Volunteer: -Serve as a representative of the Red Cross at various special events throughout the community. Set up displays and hand out information about the Red Cross at local health fairs and community events.
- Volunteer Driver: -Transport clients to medically related appointments or transport blood and blood products to area hospitals.
- Internships- The Greater Carolinas Chapter offers a wide variety of Internship opportunities. All internships are non-paid and typically last for 3 to 6 months.
